Victoria Goring creates stories live from children's suggestions. Each story is a journey into imagination, with wholesome, positive messages and guaranteed surprises! What child won’t be amazed to see someone create a story right out of thin air? Best of all, children will be inspired to create, to speak out, and to love live theater! Of course, adults love to participate too! After the performance, audience members are invited to stay for Q&A with Victoria, and for dress-up time.

About Victoria: Victoria is an actor, a writer, and a mom, which means she has read thousands of children's books, all with a critical eye. She believes that all children are creative and that learning happens when we engage the intellect, body, and emotions of the student, so that each child can approach an idea in a way that makes sense to them. Through encouragement, each child can learn to express their own voice, develop their own unique interests, and perceive the world from varying perspectives. The result is well-rounded human beings with empathy and problem solving skills that will last a lifetime.

2012 Theme: "Just California." John Steven McGroarty wrote his iconic poem "Just California" in 1933, describing the idyllic and natural beauty of the state of California. We know California is more than the "...light of leaping rivers, and the flash of popped plains." California has long thrived on its continual reinvention.

We asked artists to investigate topics relevant to California: immigration, the impact of information technology on business and communication, California's tumultuous infrastructure, disastrous earthquakes and fires, racial panic, and unemployment. Explore their findings in the first ever Art Fair & Gallery at McGroarty Arts Center!
