McGroarty Arts Center seeks to serve the widest possible audience by offering arts programs that serve the diverse needs of our community. Classes are offered for patrons of all ages, 3 years and up. We offer a breadth of visual and performing arts classes in four 8-week sessions each year. We host a variety of events and exhibits between sessions, including art shows, recitals and outdoor festivals.
McGroarty Arts Center holds two or three shows each year. Our main hall provides us with a unique exhibition space enabling us to display all kinds of artwork. Previous shows have included the work of local, established artists and students’ work.
McGroarty Arts Center runs an intense program of classes on its premises. As the demand is high and our community diverse, we also offer programs off site. These include art classes at several schools in Sunland – Tujunga, as well as after school enrichment classes at other schools in the greater San Fernando Valley. We are also now launching ourArt for Seniors Program which will provide painting and drawing instruction to non-mobile, low income senior citizens in the community.
McGroarty Arts Center hosts over 25 events per year ranging from small recitals to large outdoor festivals. Among the community’s favorites are the Puppetry Festival, Ceramics Exhibition and Benefit, and the Holiday Boutique. You are welcome to volunteer to help at our events!

McGroarty Arts Center is proud to employ many gifted professionals in the areas of visual arts, music, dance and theater.
