REGISTRATION FOR ADULT CLASSES:

Adult classes accept students age 16 and up. Enrollment for adult classes begins May 7th. Classes with the listed age group "Adult" or "12-16 & Adult" accept enrollment by phone or in person starting May 7th. Enrollment for all other classes, including those listed as "7-up & Adult," is handled according to the Children's Classes policy listed below.


REGISTRATION FOR CHILDRENS'S CLASSES:

Priority Registration:
Priority Enrollment for children's classes opens May 7th. Priority Enrollment is offered to FOMAC members at the Family Level ($50) and above as our way of saying "Thank You" for supporting the Center. You can be a FOMAC Member too! For information about becoming a FOMAC Member, please call or email the office.


General Registration:
General Enrollment for children's classes opens May 14th at 10:00am.
Enrollment is accepted over the phone and in person on a first come first served basis.

Please Note: Enrollment forms may be downloaded and filled out to save time, but must be presented in person. Mailed or faxed registration forms will not be honored.


SCHOLARSHIPS:
Scholarships are available on the basis of need. Scholarships are funded by the Friends of McGroarty Arts Center (FOMAC), philanthropic individuals, and organizations. Apply one week prior to enrolling. For more information please call or email the office.

OFFICE HOURS AND SESSION DATES:
Office Hours during the quarter break will be Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. The quarter break runs May 22nd - July 7th.

Office Hours during the quarter will be 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday and 9:00am-4:00pm Saturday. The Summer Quarter runs July 8th-September 1st.

Summer Session Runs July 8-September 1, 2009
General Enrollment for the Summer opens May 14, 2009

Fall Session Runs September 25-November 19, 2009
General Enrollment for the Fall opens August 26, 2009

P O L I C Y    I N F O R M A T I O N



PAYMENT POLICY:
Payment is due on or before your first class. Other arrangements, such as paying in installments, can be made with the office (818) 352-5285. We are happy to make accomodations, just ask!

Visa, Mastercard, cash or check accepted. Make checks payable to "McGroarty Arts Center."

Students who do not attend the first class and have not paid will be dropped unless other arrangements have been made with the office.



PRORATE POLICY:
Prorating applies only to registration taken after the start of the class session. Prorates are not applicable to registered students who miss class due to circumstances outside the Center's control. The discount applied is based on the price of the class and the number of classes missed. Please call the office for details (818) 352-5285.



REFUND POLICY:
Classes are non-refundable unless the class is canceled by the Center.

If the student drops her class, a full credit will be issued for classes dropped up to 8 days before the first class. A $10 processing fee will be charged for each class dropped 7 days before the start of the class or later. The $10 processing fee will be deducted from the credit. Credits are kept on file in the office and can be used for any future session of classes.

In the event that a student is dissatisfied or is unable to attend the class for which she registered, the student can transfer to another available class or request a credit. Please call the office for more information (818) 352-5285.




Reminder: Please leave and pick up children no more than 5 minutes before or 5 minutes after class. Teacher is not responsible to watch them past 5 minutes. Children must stay on sidewalks, not in vegetation areas. Please accompany children through parking lot areas. Thank you for assistance in these matters.

M I S S I O N    S T A T E M E N T

Our objectives are:
• To provide affordable art instruction for adults and children
• To promote the fine, literary and performing arts through instruction
• To provide a venue in which artists can display or perform their work
• To support and promote the legacy of John Steven McGroarty and Rancho Chupa Rosa as a local center for the literary and fine arts.
