In this two-day workshop, you’ll learn to transfer your design onto a linoleum block and print your own image! Various styles of prints will be showcased to inspire ideas on color, line, texture, and contrast with negative space. The second date will be dedicated to printing on paper of fabric and gaining an insight on ink modification and paper options. Most supplies provided; bring your own fabric or paper if you wish!

Multi-media artist Gisela Ramirez brings experience in ceramics, printmaking, and sculpture to her teaching. Gisela has a BFA in Printmaking and a BA in Art Education from California State University - Chico. Her unique artwork highlights humanitarian issues, bringing to light the struggles of marginalized communities. She draws inspiration from her family’s migration story and subsequent struggles. Gisela is a recipient of the Janet Turner Print Memorial Scholarship for excellence in printmaking and the Lt. Robert Merton Rawlins Merit Award for outstanding academic and professional accomplishments.
